Let me start off with the detox experience. It wasn't a good one for me... The first day felt awesome. Did some workouts, cooked soup that could last me 5 days, went out for a run, had a good dinner. But the second and third day was HORRIBLE. Maybe i started at the wrong time - had to stay at home so i could study, but the food in front of me (i study on the kitchen table) are just torturing me!!! I did not cave in but i felt sooooo horrible i guess i was almost going into depression. I felt so bad about myself, and like kept feeling so deprived. Told my dad and he said maybe this 7-day detox thing is too much for me, and i should take baby steps instead.
So i shortened it to 3 days. I guess i'm still rather proud of myself for accomplishing the 3 days :) And i should've prepped my body for such a big change too. No sugar, no oats, no snacks etc when i'm dependent on those usually.
Okay so that's it for the detox experience. Feels like i wasted my money though, and i prolly wouldn't do it again - or any time soon, at least.
(typed halfway and realised how unorganised it is so i shall write it in timeline form)
27 Nov:
So, A levels officially ended for me, but everyone was busy celebrating so i ended up spending the rest of the day alone at home watching Thai movies. I'm so in love with their language!!! I remember taking a bus and was closely observing and listening to this group of Thai people speak and feeling so enchanted by the language, haha! But Thai movies are really good too, like their plot and stuff. Only bad thing is the translation sometimes makes little/no sense :(
28 Nov:
Finally get to meet my dearest diudiu after what seemed like a million years!!! Kinda accomplished nothing that day hahaha but it was good just talking about nothing/everything with her :)
Had lunch @ TCC (atas place = expensive food) and this was my Cheeso Portobello Sandwich. I didn't know there was onions so i had to pick them out :(
Below is a gallery of the Christmas tree addict and her Christmas trees. LOL
The Ferrero Rocher golden tree! Remember seeing it last year too :)
The nicest/grandest tree on Orchard road!
Attempt to take selfie with the tree hahaha
Yes, i do acknowledge the fact that i look like i'm BALDING :'(
Another tree
After that i went to meet the fatty for dinner at Serangoon Gardens. The place is still as nice as before but it was quite dark, haha.
He just dyed his hair to (imo) Ah Beng colour x))
Does not look particularly appetising but this is the Wild Mushrooms Soup and the breads @ Cedele :)
29 Nov - 1 Dec:
Attended the 3-day class in fotang from which i realised many things about life and basically everything. It feels good to know that God will always always be with us no matter what :') May share more in days to come, but that's it for now.
2 Dec:
Went out with Rena and Sam, like for the first time everrrr!!! Always just hang out in school cause we have our other friends and all, but glad we finally got to spend time tgt just having fun :) Shopped, talked, and watched Catching Fire - it was soooo good! Watch it watch it! Great day spent with awesome company though there were awkward gaps of silences which i guess is from not being used to talk about everything not related to studies (shows how much we usually talk about academics hahaha)
The quality of the pic is quite bad due to the lighting but here's us at the Charlie Brown Cafe :)
3 Dec:
Went out with the class to sing karaoke @ Bugis+ at this place called Suites or smth i think. Was so fun and got to see a different side of them haha! But i felt it was quite inevitable that some people felt left out cause there were only 2 working mics, and esp for those who have limited song vocab when it comes to the more popular songs (like me)
At night finally met up with the siaozhabors for 1-for-1 Starbucks. (Was really quite worried about drinking coffee at such a timing and i got a sore throat the next day sob. and now i feel flu-ish) Haven't talked to them properly for sooooo long but everything is still like what they used to be. Love such friends, whom you can just talk about anything with.
4 Dec:
Went to send Rena off back to Vietnam. Will really miss her and she may not even come back to collect results next year T-T
Cause the Xmas tree is pretty :) And so are we. HAHAHAHAHA
After everybody went separate ways i went to Parkway to walk around aimlessly (love doing that haha) to kill time before Thor starts. Explored possibly every corner of PP cause i can. But anyway an adventurous (somewhat) day alone calls for some self-love in the form of selfies! So here's an awkward one of me in the toilet with some weird fisheye thingy, haha and it happens to capture my OOTD! :)
Then i went to walk around the shops outside to hunt for a place to get a haircut (hair getting too long and irritating) so i went to this place with haircuts charging at $3.80. Never believed in those places and never thought i would get a haircut there, but i did. Here's to trying new stuff!
So this is my new (length of) hair. Always thought of changing hairstyle but NEVER dared to. Oh well~
After washing... On a side note this shirt was from like eons ago (when i was in primary school?!) but the material is still as good. *thumbs up*
Went to catch Thor (free ticket thanks to OVA) and was prolly the only person who went alone hahaha but i guess i'm alright with it. Watching movies alone is really not that bad!!! (i used to think only sad and lonely people do that) Thor was good, as usual. Btw i love Tom Hiddleston after watching the Smosh interview with him. He's just... awesome. Like Jennifer Lawrence as well. (who cares if it may all be just a show right)
Met up with the fatty for dinner @ Veganburg cause he has been working since Monday and we haven't seen each other for almost a week.
No idea where i'm looking hahaha (hurray for shorter fringe)
This picture cause fatty wants one of us with our faces closer tgt, HAHAHA :3
Nothing special except that i went for the YFA (Youths for Autism) interview @ Pathlight School. I guess it went well when it comes to conversation but the content... let's just say i think it wouldn't make me the best candidate for the place... Oh well, the staff asked me to "just be yourself" so that's exactly what i did. I do hope i get it though, it would definitely be more meaningful than a regular part-time job :)
Met this girl at the waiting room though, shall not name her since it's not that important. She speaks eloquently and confidently and carries herself well. I would say she's the total opposite of me. Like the way she think and handles things, her personality traits, etc. etc. Not that i know her that well but based on what she shared with me. She even remembers how many reasons she gave for one of the qns when i have trouble even remembering what was being asked! And she's super organised and aware of everything (including her thoughts) whereas i'm disorganised (i forgot to bring all my documents and even my IC -_-) and always so lost. I'm guessing she will definitely get in, no doubt haha. It was so interesting meeting her though :))
That's all for now. It's 3.35am right now and i'm typing because i fell asleep at 9++, woke up at 11 and cannot fall back asleep. Please let me be able to wake up tmr, LOL.
Love, Bel.
